Yvonne L. Rousseau
"Shadow touching the edge of light, positive space pushing through negative space, color dancing across a textured surface, as an artist my challenge is to capture these elements."

An early interest in art led Yvonne to select art education as her profession.  She earned her undergraduate degree from North Carolina A & T State University and her masters from UNCG Greensboro.  After a fulfilling career as a visual arts teacher in North Carolina with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System, she is now retired and living in award-winning artist with the Charleston and Summerville artist's guilds.  She works in the media dictated by her subjects.  Her work can be found in public and private collections internationally.
