Images of Charleston

Having received a degree in English from Florida State University, it is somewhat unusual that Tom has found himself in the homebuilding industry for the past 25 years.  (That’s another story!) However, building homes is what brought him to the Charleston area 10 years ago.

An invitation from a friend to “go downtown and take pictures” was the beginning of an addiction, to both Charleston and photography!  Walking the quaint streets of Charleston in the early morning hours on Saturday or Sunday, Tom has become intimately familiar with the architecture of Charleston.  Seeing the world thru his “carpenter’s eyes,” he focuses on the details of Charleston that few notice.

“What I seemed especially drawn to was the ironwork.  I would be walking down a street and be drawn to a gate, or fence and become mesmerized by the detail.”

Viewing Tom’s images, you will enjoy the glimpses of Charleston architecture he presents from his unique perspective.
