"I have been painting for over 20 years, ever since I needed an adult activity during my young children's naptime.  Since then, I have found great joy and solace in the smearing of paint! My first love is watercolor, although pastels and acrylics beckon occasionally.  Each medium has its own pleasures and challenges.

 I paint whatever strikes me as beautiful: a flower, a majestic tree, sunlight falling across just about anything.  I especially like to paint flower "portraits" and have an ongoing love affair with live oak trees.

Something in my subject matter touches my heart and makes me wonderfully aware of the beauty surrounding me each day.  I take great joy in stopping to notice that beauty and giving it voice through my art."
