My formal training in fine arts started at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C. and continues to this day. I love to take classes in all mediums and have had the good fortune to study around the world. I painted throughout my 25 career as an interior designer and antiques dealer. Living outside the United States for almost 20 years gave me varied experiences and locations from which to draw inspiration.
My husband likes to say that I will paint on anything that doesn’t move and to some extent he is right. I’ve painted theater and TV backdrops, fabrics, wall finishes, and architectural renderings. My wall murals grace the Hong Kong International schools, La Perla stores, as well as private residences. My watercolors, acrylics, and oils have been exhibited and sold around the world. Now I am living in Charleston, S.C., painting full time and still learning and growing as an artist.
